Steeton Court Nursing Home is a family -owned Nursing Home located in Steeton, Keighley.

A truly wonderful place combining traditional local stone-built style with the modern convenience and facilities of a purpose-built nursing home. Comprising of four community areas, offering a genuine, friendly, small community feel that everyone feels part of – with general nursing, as well as a memory lane community offering specialised care for those living with dementia.

Moving into a care home can feel like a big change and the aim of the Steeton Court team has always been to support all residents and their families in making this transition as comfortable as possible. Residents are encouraged to personalise their room and make it feel like a home from home. All rooms have en-suite facilities and are stylishly decorated with a high-quality finish. The communal areas are light and spacious, designed with comfort and social interaction in mind.

The dedicated team offers care that helps residents to live as actively as possible whilst providing a support system for them and their families.

“I joined the team in September 2019, after a nursing career within both the NHS and care homes for over 45 years, which provided services for people with general nursing needs as well as those living with Dementia.

​

I am responsible for the overall management of the home, ensuring the delivery of an individualised care/support service. 

​

This service which promotes independence, enables choice, maintains dignity to empower our residents to continue a quality of life.

​

I also ensure the environment is safe and comfortable, protecting the health and welfare for our residents, the staff team, and visitors”.

“I have been a chef for nearly 30 years. I have gained a vast knowledge and experience of food.

​

My first role after leaving Stratford upon Avon College was to work at the Savoy, London, where I gained my certificate of status.

​

Throughout my career I have worked at a number on different hotels, restaurants, pubs, and nursing homes. I have won awards along the way for best restaurant and using local food produce. 

​

The menus are developed to include our residents’ choices, specialist diets are provided as required.  

​

My passion is to cook delicious, fantastic looking locally produced food, and to bake the best cakes and tastiest puddings!”
