Skipton Bathroom and Tile Centre

Taking Bathrooms Seriously

Celebrating 10 years in business this April, Skipton Bathroom and Tile Centre is there to meet all your bathroom design needs. Open to the trade and public, offering supply only or supply and installation, no job is too big or too small.

Continuing to put his specialist skills to good use, plumbing and heating engineer Karl Harrison (SBTC’s founder) heads up the fittings and installation teams, alongside his son Dominic. Beverley and Jane - who you may have heard of on Stray FM - run the office and showroom. Starting with a customer consultation and free measuring service, the team can offer the full package. Their knowledge of the products, and understanding of the complexities of bathroom design, enables them to guide you through the process of creating your dream bathroom, taking away the element of stress. Their professional design services allows you to really visualise your new bathroom and make the changes required to get it just right for you. The high quality products and expert installation ensure a perfectly fit and fabulously functional bathroom.

What makes SBT stand out from the crowd?

Jane: I think it’s our personal customer service and honest advice. We’re always happy to help, whether you’re popping in for a couple of tiles to finish a DIY project or searching for a complete remodel. We have ranges to suit all tastes and budgets and we’re always willing to offer advice on the right product for the job. There’s lots of cheap products available online these days, but if you buy cheap you buy twice. We offer quality items at reasonable prices - products we know are made to last!

Bev: Many of our items have 5-10 year guarantees, so you know they’re from trusted, quality companies. Some even have lifetime warranties. Our passion for working with British brands and local companies is something we’re very proud of. Our shower enclosures by Keighley based company, Aquadart are excellent!

What brand do you recommend most often?

Jane: It all depends on the customer’s style and the type of house. We see a lot of farm houses and barn conversions - Burlington traditional pottery and furniture is perfect for those! Another British company, they create gorgeous, classic style bathrooms, but not old-fashioned. A really sleek finished look.

Bev: As styles have changed over the years, there’s been a big shift in demand from tiles, to shower boards. They’re a great option - easy to install, easy to clean and they look fab. For contemporary furniture and pottery, I would recommend Crosswater Premium. They create a lovely modern finish and are made to stand the test of time. Or, the essentials range by Ideal is a great option for those on a tighter budget – quality products at very reasonable prices.
